Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Facilities Operations leader to oversee maintenance, security, and office facilities across multiple sites. You will manage a team, drive efficiency, and ensure safety standards while meeting cost targets and service levels.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field with several years of supervisory experience, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency with CMMS. A focus on diversity and community impact complements this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field; 4–7 years' experience, or 6–9 years' experience without a degree.
• Familiarity with facilities management planning, scheduling and maintenance of facility equipment.
• Effective performance management and previous supervisory/managerial success.
• Ability to develop and implement process improvements using technology and performance data.
• Strong negotiation skills with contractors and service providers.
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
• Proven ability to drive value and lead change in a corporate setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop life cycle cost analyses for facility planning and locate optimal sites for operations.
• Schedule and supervise skilled trades staff for building maintenance and grounds.
• Create contingency plans for evacuation and emergency preparedness across facilities.
• Prepare RFPs, evaluate bids, select vendors and authorize contracts/ payments.
• Provide leadership and development for Facilities team; conduct Performance Planning and Appraisal.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth operations.
• Oversee safety, training, and employee grievances; drive continuous improvement.
