Job summary

Webstaurantstore is seeking a Facilities Assistant Manager to support the Facilities Manager in daily preventative and corrective maintenance for our distribution center. You will oversee assets including conveyors, HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and warehouse infrastructure, while upholding safety and efficiency standards.

Responsibilities include guiding maintenance staff, coordinating with leadership on operational improvements, and managing maintenance budgets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in distribution center maintenance/facilities.
• Electrical/mechanical engineering knowledge including a strong background in electrical troubleshooting and maintaining industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of trades related to building maintenance and repair, including HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, electricity, etc., including use of power tools, reading schematics, blueprints, and instructions.
• This role does not require a degree. We value relevant skills and experience and alignment with our core values above all else.

Responsibilities

• Assist with management and training of facilities/maintenance employees across shifts.
• Provide guidance to building management on efficiency improvements.
• Ensure Lock Out/Tag Out and Arc Flash safety compliance.
• Collaborate with Facilities Manager to schedule downtime and manage budgets.
• Maintain CMMS for preventive maintenance and corrective actions.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and cost analysis.
• Coordinate emergency maintenance requests and repairs of conveyors.
• Oversee repairs and replacement of pallet racking and other warehouse infrastructure.
• Perform weekly/quarterly/annual tests on fire suppression systems and related equipment.
