Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Trade school certification or related post-secondary education preferred.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, utility systems, or related technical roles.
Experience supporting commercial, industrial, life sciences, manufacturing, healthcare, or institutional facilities preferred.
Valid driver’s license required; Forklift and Aerial Lift certifications required or ability to obtain.
Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and maintenance manuals; interpret safety procedures and work orders.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and BAS.
Experience with CMMS and facility monitoring software.

Responsibilities

Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot facility utility and building systems including HVAC equipment and controls, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire protection, lighting, BAS, and compressed air systems.
Conduct regular shift rounds and facility inspections to identify issues and ensure reliability; respond to operational concerns.
Develop, execute, and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs; create maintenance procedures and inspection routes.
Monitor BAS alarms and system notifications; analyze trends to optimize performance and energy consumption; identify energy sustainability opportunities.
Document maintenance activities and updates in CMMS; maintain accurate technical records and drawings.
Support capital projects and facility upgrades; coordinate with vendors and internal teams.
