Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield has an open Operating Engineer position in Covington, KY. You will keep mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems running smoothly, performing rounds, preventive maintenance and needed repairs to ensure building comfort and safety.

Applicants should have 5+ years in commercial property operations, relevant licenses as required, and a strong ability to manage multiple tasks with urgency and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; apprentice or trade school preferred.
• 5+ years of related work experience in operating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Appropriate trade license/permit may be required (e.g., Journeyman/Master Electrician).
• Valid driver's license and good driving record where applicable.
• Experience with HVAC, boilers, pumps, refrigerant systems and energy management.

Responsibilities

• Perform all plumbing, electrical, or HVAC requirements of the building(s).
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, DX units, pumps, cooling towers and air distribution systems.
• Monitor energy management and respond to emergencies or customer concerns.
• Inspect and repair building systems, perform preventive maintenance and safety tasks.
• Document activities and comply with all codes, regulations and company directives.
