Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Operating Engineer to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems at assigned properties. The role involves rounds, preventive maintenance, and general repairs to sustain a safe, clean environment.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of related experience, applicable licenses, and familiarity with energy management. Expect on-site work across multiple properties with potential for overtime or shift work based on

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent; apprentice or trade school preferred.
• 5+ years of related work experience operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• Appropriate licenses/permits for trade as required (Journeyman/Master Electrician, Refrigeration Certificate of Fitness, etc.).
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, or HVAC requirements of the building(s).
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, DX units, pumps, and air distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment and energy management.
• Repair doors, ceilings, floors and related installations and general repairs.
• Inspect engine room, electrical rooms, pumps, generators and other equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure safety compliance and reporting.
