Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Operating Engineer to ensure efficient operation and preventive maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned properties.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience and appropriate licenses, with strong knowledge of energy management and building systems. This on-site position involves rounds, inspections, and responding to emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; apprentice or trade school preferred.
• 5+ years operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in commercial properties.
• Appropriate trade licenses and energy management knowledge may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, or HVAC requirements for buildings.
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, pumps, VAV and air distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical equipment and energy management systems.
• Repair doors, ceilings, floors, signage and general property components.
• Complete preventive maintenance per standards and schedule.
• Respond to emergencies and report activities to supervisor.
