Job summary

Wesco in Pittsburgh seeks a Manager - Facilities to oversee facility improvement projects and develop preventative maintenance programs. You will manage outsourced providers and act as the central point of contact for all facility needs, ensuring safety, reliability and cost efficiency across sites.

This hybrid role requires strong project management, LEAN experience, and negotiation skills with suppliers and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• High School Degree or Equivalent required.
• High level of technical competence in facility design and construction practices, specifically HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety
• Warehouse layout and design practices as related to LEAN principles and operational best practices
• Strong contract negotiation skills with suppliers and contractors
• Strong communication, interpersonal and motivational skills
• Strong computer skills
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Experience with senior facilities or facilities construction projects including preventative management and repair management - 3 years required

Responsibilities

• Reviews and recommends capital spending requests for exterior signage, building repairs, equipment, carpeting and furniture, office moves and consolidations.
• Coordinates maintenance requirements, building repairs and upgrades on leased sites with landlords in accordance with established leases.
• Reviews office layouts for new sites and relocations.
• Promotes LEAN in all aspects of facility projects.
• Work with equipment manufacturers to utilize buying power for cost efficient purchase.
• Assesses long-term needs for facilities and equipment to protect assets and mission.
• Manages and executes assigned projects.
• Represents company to various customers, suppliers, and constituents.
• Works with sites on environmental issues, including mold remediation and audits.
• Ensures upkeep of company owned facilities and assets.
