Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. in Arlington, VA seeks an experienced Facilities Manager to lead a team of technicians, vendors, and contractors, ensuring safe, reliable building operations and delivering exceptional customer service.

You will manage preventive maintenance, uphold contracts, coordinate with site leaders and landlords, implement SOPs, respond to emergencies, and utilize CMMS and MS Office to drive efficiency and store performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Facilities Manager or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education preferred.
• Solid knowledge of building/mechanical, electrical systems (MEP).
• Experience using CMMS systems for planning, scheduling, and reporting.
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers, peers, and senior leadership.
• Experience managing remote teams and third party contracted services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office with Excel and Outlook.
• Six Sigma, Lean, or other operational excellence certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a safety-first culture across the portfolio and ensure proper training and safe work practices.
• Oversee performance of technicians, vendors, and suppliers for maintenance and repair of facilities systems.
• Build relationships with site leads and regional leadership to deliver FM services.
• Uphold contract terms with subcontractors to ensure delivery of goods and services.
• Lead to achieve customer satisfaction in FM delivery.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment.
• Act as primary contact with occupants and landlords for FM activities.
• Develop SOPs and PM schedules to support all areas.
• Respond to emergency calls as necessary.
• Apply knowledge of HVAC, vertical transport, F&B, security, and other building systems.
• Help leadership drive store performance and operational goals.
