Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Facilities Manager in the Durham area to lead a team responsible for operating and maintaining a portfolio of facilities. The role focuses on supervising staff, managing daily activities, and coordinating repairs and vendors to ensure reliable performance and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of related experience, a driver’s license, and a facility management mindset with strong budgeting, safety, and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license required; Facility Management certification preferred.
• Experience in staffing, training, development, coaching, and retention.
• Ability to guide sensitive information and set performance expectations.
• Leadership skills to motivate team and improve quality and efficiency.
• Strong organizational skills and analytical math abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees, coach, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Schedule daily activities, assign tasks, and manage deadlines.
• Coordinate facility repairs and maintenance with technicians and vendors.
• Maintain client relationships and resolve facility issues.
• Prepare and manage capital projects and operating budgets.
• Perform facility inspections and suggest improvements.
• Oversee environmental health and safety procedures.
• Manage vendor relationships and review quotes.
• Provide training on maintenance, repairs, and safety.
• Model CBRE RISE values and align team with objectives.
• Identify and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues.
