Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician working 2:00pm–10:30pm. Responsibilities include maintaining hospital facilities and equipment, documenting in CMMS, and handling repairs to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and patient-care gear. A weekend duty cycle every 7 weeks and at least one holiday per year are required.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and basic computer skills. Full-time, benefits-eligible, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and basic maintenance knowledge.
• Must have basic computer skills including CMMS, building automation systems and MS Office.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility and equipment maintenance per codes and use CMMS for documentation.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment (motors, pumps, doors, etc.).
• Maintain patient care equipment (beds, wheelchairs, carts, tables).
• Inspect and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing and other systems as needed.
• Respond to emergencies (leaks, power outages, floods) and complete preventive maintenance.
• Read blueprints and manuals to complete assignments.
