Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a skilled facilities technician in Wisconsin to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on complex facility systems. You will diagnose issues and implement solutions for utility and infrastructure systems while installing and maintaining MEP and controls systems.

The role requires advanced technical maintenance skills, minimal supervision, and the ability to read blueprints and Life Safety drawings. On-call duties and safety compliance are essential parts of the job.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License and industry certification/licensing requiring CEUs or renewal.
• Advanced training beyond high school that includes technical training.
• 4+ years of experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations.
• Ability to work with minimal oversight with advanced technical skills in facility maintenance.
• On-call 24/7 coverage and safety-focused
• Knowledge of applicable compliance codes and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and technical repairs on complex facility systems.
• Diagnoses and implements repairs for utility and infrastructure systems.
• Installs/replace and maintains building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and controls systems.
• Operates and monitors advanced utility equipment and building automation systems to troubleshoot issues.
• Maintains vacuum, compressed air, and medical gas systems.
• Reads blueprints, Life Safety drawings and manuals for accurate task completion.
