Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Full-Time Facilities Technician at High Point Medical Center in North Carolina to perform facility and equipment maintenance and document work in the CMMS system.

The role requires 2–4 years of equipment maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills. Hours are 40 per week, 1st shift 7:30am–4:00pm, with on-call duties. Benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 2-4 Years of Experience in equipment maintenance.
• Basic computer skills such as CMMS, building automation system, Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance in accordance with codes and standards and documents in CMMS.
• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs mechanical equipment (motors, pumps, conveyors, doors, fans, boilers, controls).
• Maintains patient care equipment (beds, wheelchairs, carts, tables).
• Maintains mechanical/electrical systems (HVAC, refrigerators, water systems, gas systems) with guidance.
• Performs general maintenance (grounds, carpentry, painting, snow removal) and responds to emergencies (leaks, floods, power outages, etc.).
• Responds to building occupant requests; conducts preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
