Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Aurora, CO, to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on basic facility systems at Saint Luke's Medical Center - Facilities. The role emphasizes HVAC focus, requires a High School diploma or GED, and includes a 1st shift Monday–Friday with some weekend work.

40 hours/week in a full-time capacity, with on-call duties and potential travel as needed to support the 24/7 facility operations.

Qualifications

• Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with minimal oversight with intermediate level technical skills in facility maintenance.
• Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of technical training.

Responsibilities

• Conducts preventive maintenance tasks and repairs on basic facility systems and documents tasks through the computerized maintenance system.
• Assists in evaluating and troubleshooting basic building system failures and performs repairs as directed.
• Operates and monitors and maintains basic Utility System Infrastructure.
• Assist in maintaining fire alarm and fire protection systems.
• Supports the installation of building hardware, electrical devices, and wall finishes under supervision.
• Maintains preventive maintenance records and equipment repair files for compliance.
• Reads blueprints, Life Safety drawings and maintenance manuals to gain knowledge needed to complete assignments.
