Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician at Aurora Sinai Medical Center to perform preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. You will use CMMS to document work orders, respond to emergencies, and ensure safety standards are met.

The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a 2:00pm–10:30pm shift and a weekend every 7 weeks, plus one holiday per year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Less than 2 years’ experience in equipment maintenance.
• Driver's License required.
• Basic computer skills such as CMMS, building automation systems, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance per codes and standards.
• Documents work using CMMS and maintains records.
• Maintain and repair mechanical equipment (motors, pumps, doors, boilers, etc.).
• Maintain patient care equipment (beds, wheelchairs, carts, tables).
• Inspect and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and gas systems.
