Job summary

Advocate Health is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center - Facilities.

This full-time role (40 hours per week) performs preventive maintenance on basic facility systems, documents tasks in the CMMS, and supports building systems repairs under supervision. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, advanced technical training, and 2–4 years in industrial/trades maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; advanced technical training recommended.
• 2–4 years of experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations.
• Valid driver’s license required; basic to intermediate computer skills expected (CMMS, MS Office, BAS).
• Ability to read blueprints and maintenance manuals; good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Conducts preventive maintenance tasks on basic facility systems and documents them in CMMS.
• Assists in troubleshooting and repairing basic building systems under supervision.
• Maintains fire alarm and fire protection systems; supports installation of hardware and electrical devices.
• Keeps preventive maintenance records and equipment repair files for compliance.
