Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a dedicated maintenance and groundskeeping professional for the Aurora location. The role covers building repairs, preventive maintenance, landscaping, and seasonal exterior tasks on a 3rd shift from 11:00pm to 7:30am, Sunday through Thursday.

A valid driver’s license and basic computer skills are required. The position is full-time with benefits eligible, offering a base in a hospital setting and opportunities to contribute to a large health system’s facilities

Qualifications

Must have basic maintenance and groundskeeping knowledge.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and solve problems.

Responsibilities

Perform routine repairs such as carpentry and plumbing tasks.
Maintain equipment in good working order and perform minor repairs.
Follow preventive maintenance schedules and keep records/logs.
Monitor building temperature and report unusual conditions.
Maintain inventory of parts and tools for repairs.
Move furniture and equipment as needed.
Keep the property clean and orderly.
Mow, edge, fertilize, trim plants, water landscapes, and replace sod as necessary.
Remove snow from sidewalks, entrances, parking lots, and rooftops.
Clean parking structures and surrounding areas using equipment.
