Job summary

Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center - Facilities is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to perform facility and equipment maintenance in line with codes, document work in CMMS, and respond to emergencies.

Requirements include 2–4 years of equipment maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and basic computer skills (CMMS, building automation, Office). Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2–4 years of experience in equipment maintenance.
• Driver's license required.
• Basic computer skills including CMMS and building automation; Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance in accordance with codes and standards.
• Documents through CMMS.
• Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs mechanical equipment (motors, pumps, conveyors, doors, fans, boilers, etc.).
• Maintains patient care equipment as needed.
• Maintains mechanical/electrical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, gas systems).
• Performs general maintenance including grounds, carpentry, painting, snow removal.
• Responds to emergencies (leaks, floods, outages, fires, equipment failures).
• Responds to building occupant requests and provides timely status updates.
• Performs preventive maintenance and equipment safety checks.
• Reads blueprints and maintenance manuals.
