Job summary

UniFirst seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to keep facility equipment running efficiently and drive maintenance improvements. You will oversee all maintenance staff, ensure safety, and manage budgets with a focus on reliability and process optimization.

The role requires reading blueprints/schematics, PLC troubleshooting, and strong hands-on skills. Overtime and shift coverage as needed, with on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• High school or GED preferred
• Two-year technical degree preferred
• Must be 21+ with valid driver's license
• 3+ years repairing industrial processing equipment
• 2+ years supervising maintenance personnel preferred
• Maintenance administration experience required
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics required
• Proficiency in English maintenance literature
• Microsoft Office skills required
• Lockout/Tagout experience required
• Overtime work as needed
• Lift up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical/electrical problems and determine corrective action
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions
• Perform basic welding for facility repairs
• Troubleshoot PLCs and control systems
• Perform all preventive maintenance on facility and production assets
• Follow blueprints and manuals with a documented schedule
• Manage equipment maintenance and after-hours repairs
• Oversee maintenance shifts and safety/compliance
• Monitor and train maintenance staff
