Job summary

UniFirst seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to ensure facility equipment operates efficiently. You will diagnose issues, supervise maintenance staff, and manage preventive maintenance. The role includes coordinating with the Production Manager on budget and training, with overtime as needed.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience with electrical/mechanical systems, blueprints, and safety procedures, and can lift up to 80 lbs. Tuesday–Friday weekends may occur.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required or preferred.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years repairing industrial processing equipment in production.
• Minimum 2 years supervising maintenance personnel.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action using blueprints, schematics, repair manuals and parts catalogs.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
• Perform and manage preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Follow manuals and specifications with a documented schedule.
• Manage maintenance workload and assign tasks across shifts.
• Oversee safety and regulatory compliance in the maintenance department.
• Utilize a CMMS to track maintenance activities.
• Develop and manage department budget with Production Manager.
• Train and develop maintenance staff.
