Job summary

UniFirst seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to ensure facility equipment runs efficiently and to identify process improvements. You will lead maintenance staff, schedule preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across all shifts with potential overtime.

The role emphasizes diagnosing mechanical/electrical issues, coordinating with production, budgeting for building and equipment needs, and training staff on CMMS and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two-year technical degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• Minimum of 2 years supervising maintenance personnel.
• Maintenance administration experience: planning, scheduling, budgeting, vendor management, and parts management.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action using blueprints/schematics and manuals.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and associated control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Follow blueprints and manuals with a documented schedule.
• Oversee maintenance budget and spend with Production Manager.
• Train and develop maintenance staff; ensure safety compliance and training.
