Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure all facility equipment functions efficiently and to lead maintenance staff. The role includes diagnosing issues from blueprints, performing preventive maintenance, and supervising shifts to meet safety and regulatory requirements.

You will oversee budgeting, parts management, and vendor coordination while supporting training and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; two-year technical degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years repairing industrial processing equipment in production.
• Minimum 2 years supervising maintenance personnel preferred.
• Maintenance administration including planning, scheduling, budgeting, vendor management.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics and English maintenance literature.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical/electrical problems using blueprints and manuals.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding for facility repairs.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and control systems.
• Perform and assign preventive maintenance on assets.
• Follow specs and schedules; manage overtime as needed.
• Manage equipment maintenance and budget with leadership.
• Train and develop maintenance staff; ensure safety.
• Utilize CMMS and monitor training status.
