Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure facility equipment runs efficiently and identify improvements. Monday–Friday with periodic night/weekend overtime; on-the-job training provided. You will lead maintenance staff and coordinate preventive maintenance.

The role requires reading blueprints, wiring, PLCs, and regulatory compliance; you will manage budgets, use CMMS, and partner with Production Manager to support operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• Minimum of 2 years supervising maintenance personnel.
• Maintenance administration experience including planning, scheduling, budgeting, vendor management.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Must have valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective actions by checking blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Follow manuals and specifications with a documented schedule.
• Manage equipment maintenance and overtime as needed.
• Lead shifts in the maintenance department.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance in maintenance.
• Utilize CMMS for maintenance tracking and reporting.
• Develop and manage budget with Production Manager.
• Train and develop maintenance staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
