Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure facility equipment runs efficiently and to identify process improvements. The role requires overseeing maintenance staff, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance on all shifts with some overtime.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, reading blueprints, and experience using CMMS.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
Minimum 2 years of experience supervising maintenance personnel.
Maintenance administration experience including planning, scheduling, budgeting, vendor management, and parts control.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Lockout/Tagout experience.
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action using blueprints and manuals.
Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
Troubleshoot PLCs and control systems.
Perform and assign preventive maintenance on facilities and production assets.
Follow manuals and engineering specs with a documented schedule.
Oversee all maintenance activities and safety within the department.
Coordinate with production to manage budget for building and equipment.
