Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team and ensure facility equipment runs efficiently. The role includes diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and supervising staff across shifts.

You will work with the Production Manager on budget, parts, and safety compliance, with opportunities for overtime as needed. On-the-job training is provided in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have basic maintenance knowledge and hands-on experience in a production setting.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and maintenance literature in English.
• Proven supervisory experience in maintenance operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective actions.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and control systems; perform preventive maintenance.
• Follow drawings and manuals; manage a maintenance schedule.
• Test boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment; log results.
• Oversee maintenance budgeting, parts, and vendor management.
• Supervise shifts and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
