Job summary

UniFirst seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to ensure facility equipment operates efficiently and to identify process improvements. The role oversees maintenance staff across shifts, manages preventive maintenance, and ensures regulatory and safety compliance throughout the department.

You will work with the Production Manager to develop budgets, schedule work, and train maintenance partners while handling overtime as needed and maintaining a CMMS. This is a hands-on leadership position at UniFirst.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
Minimum 2 years of experience supervising maintenance personnel.
Maintenance administration experience including planning, scheduling, budgeting, negotiating, parts management, vendor management, maintenance management systems.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Ability to read and understand maintenance literature in English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action by consulting blueprints, schematics, repair manuals and parts catalogs.
Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
Perform and manage preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
Follow blueprints and manuals using a documented schedule.
Oversee maintenance related regulatory and environmental compliance requirements.
Ensure safety within the maintenance department and manage training.
