Job summary

UniFirst seeks a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure facility equipment runs efficiently and to lead maintenance staff across shifts. You will diagnose issues, supervise preventive maintenance, and enforce safety and regulatory standards while partnering with the Production Manager on budget planning.

With a focus on training and process improvement, you will implement maintenance best practices, manage tools and parts, and support on- call and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years repairing industrial processing equipment in a production setting.
• Minimum 2 years supervising maintenance personnel.
• Maintenance administration experience (planning, scheduling, budgeting).
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics; English maintenance literature.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using manuals and diagrams.
• Inspect and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions and plan repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Manage and assign maintenance tasks across shifts.
• Follow blueprints, manuals and specifications with a documented schedule.
• Oversee safety, regulatory compliance and environmental requirements.
• Coordinate with Production Manager on budget for building, equipment and parts.
