Job summary

Allied Residential in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance operations, manage the team, coordinate repairs and renovations, and ensure safety and compliance to deliver a high-quality living environment for residents. You will supervise maintenance staff, plan budgets, manage vendor bids, track labor and materials, and participate in regular training.

The role requires a certificate or relevant experience, strong leadership, and a commitment to reliability

Qualifications

• One-year certificate or 3–6 months related experience.
• Proven leadership of a maintenance team.
• Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read instructions, correspondence, and basic technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facilities to determine service needs, resources, and staffing.
• Assign tasks, oversee maintenance, and obtain bids for outside work.
• Direct contracted projects ensuring adherence to specs and quality.
• Purchase building and maintenance supplies, machinery, and equipment.
• Plan, track, and manage the maintenance department budget.
• Maintain records of labor, materials, and costs; prepare cost reports.
• Review contractor bids for approval.
• Support upkeep including cleaning and unit turnovers as needed.
• Participate in meetings and training sessions.
• Promote safe work practices and promptly address safety concerns.
