Job summary

Allied Residential, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily property maintenance operations in the Puget Sound area.

You will lead the maintenance team, coordinate repairs and renovations, manage vendor relationships, and ensure safety and high-quality living environments for residents. The role requires supervising a team, strong organizational skills, and the ability to plan budgets and track costs while maintaining compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Leadership skills with experience supervising a maintenance team.
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, correspondence, and basic technical documents.
  • Basic math and measurement skills, including algebra and geometry.
  • Physical ability to perform property inspections and maintenance work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing/walking for extended periods, and working in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect facilities and equipment to determine service needs, required resources, and staffing requirements.
  • Assign and oversee maintenance, repair, and renovation tasks; secure bids for outside contractor work as needed.
  • Direct contracted projects to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Purchase building and maintenance supplies, machinery, and equipment.
  • Plan, track, and manage the maintenance department budget.
  • Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and costs; prepare cost reports for management.
  • Review and recommend contractor bids for approval.
  • Support property upkeep, including cleaning and unit turnovers as needed.
  • Participate in regular meetings and training sessions.
  • Promote safe work practices and promptly address safety and security concerns.
