Job summary

Savant Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee facilities infrastructure, equipment, and grounds. You will ensure safety, comfort, and a well-kept environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include planning routine tasks, implementing preventative maintenance, managing budgets and vendors, and supervising maintenance staff in California. This role requires hands-on expertise and on-call availability.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Health screening, TB clearance, and criminal record clearance.
• First Aid/ CPR certification required.
• California Code of Regulations Sections 85065(f)/87411(g) special licenses.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and compliance.
• 3–5 years maintenance experience with supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and general repairs.
• Develop and manage a preventative maintenance program.
• Oversee maintenance budget, procurement and cost control.
• Inspect facilities for safety and code compliance.
• Coordinate emergency response protocols and after-hours maintenance.
• Oversee exterior upkeep, landscaping, parking and walkways.
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Respond to requests and emergencies promptly and effectively.
• Maintain records of work orders, repairs and expenditures.
• Supervise external contractors and vendors.
• Collaborate with other departments to support residents and staff.
• Lead and develop maintenance staff through hiring, training and evaluations.
