Job summary

Mother House LLC is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee comprehensive maintenance and physical plant operations within a senior living community. The role ensures safety, cleanliness, and reliable performance of building systems, while leading a skilled maintenance team and coordinating with contractors.

You will manage schedules, budgets, and preventive maintenance programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and high resident satisfaction, with on‑site leadership presence and collaboration

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience leading facilities, maintenance, or physical plant operations across building systems preferred.
• Supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of applicable building codes, safety standards, and ordinances.
• Long-term care or other health care setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees maintenance and upkeep of building systems, equipment and spaces, maintaining a log of repairs and costs.
• Leads the Maintenance Department, coaching and directing staff to ensure safety and quality.
• Coordinates with outside contractors and vendors to ensure timely work and compliance.
• Manages maintenance, labor and operating expenses in line with budgets.
• Supports adherence to safety, life‑safety, and infection control standards through inspections and reports.
• Responds to maintenance-related emergencies per on‑call procedures and participates in leadership meetings.
