Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance professional to oversee and perform technical work ensuring indoor/outdoor spaces meet high standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will diagnose resident work orders, perform make-ready tasks, and maintain grounds and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.

The role requires experience in property maintenance, tool proficiency, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent, related experience preferred.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade is required.
• Own hand tools; knowledge of safe use of tools and equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively for policy adherence.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication; stay calm with residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep, diagnose defects, and repair per policies and codes.
• Manage make-ready process for vacant units: inspections, punch list, vendor scheduling, and supplies.
• Set standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work by team members and contractors; develop corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment; coordinate with Community Manager on budgets and supplies.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance and assist in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-saving by repairs vs. replacements where appropriate and safe.
• Lead safety meetings; ensure MSDS and OSHA compliance for community safety.
• Provide courteous resident service and timely responses to maintenance requests.
