Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure indoor/outdoor community areas meet safety, cleanliness, and functional standards. You will diagnose and repair resident-reported issues, manage make-ready tasks for vacants, and coordinate with vendors to uphold Greystar’s quality across grounds and facilities.

The role requires tools proficiency, customer service skills, and flexibility to work a schedule that includes evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
Experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade.
Must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law and must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, user-moved aids, mechanical equipment and measuring devices.
Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct problems.
Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication skills to interact with residents, clients, team members, and other business contacts.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair maintenance issues across the community in line with policies and safety standards.
Oversee and complete make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and coordinating vendors.
Maintain cleanliness and appearance of grounds, amenities, and common areas reflecting Greystar standards.
Inspect work by service staff and contractors to ensure quality.
Assist in budgeting for repairs and capital projects and manage inventory of parts.
