Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance professional to oversee and perform technical tasks ensuring community buildings, grounds, and common areas meet high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

The role includes diagnosing defects from resident requests, completing make-ready tasks for new move-ins, and maintaining inventory and preventive maintenance. Strong customer service, tool proficiency, and adherence to safety rules are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools; safe use of hand/power tools.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively to support management and residents.
• Proficiency with internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and database management; property management system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects or problems from resident requests and perform repairs per policies and safety standards.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and coordinating vendors.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas.
• Inspect work by team members and contractors; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies; assist in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Conduct monthly preventative maintenance procedures and participate in cost-control efforts.
• Attend safety meetings and ensure OSHA and safety compliance.
• Provide courteous, responsive service to residents and internal stakeholders.
