Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance technician to service community buildings, grounds, and common areas. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and manage the make-ready process for vacant units to ensure market readiness and high standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools and safe use of tools.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively for management support.
• Proficiency with office software; property management system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose resident requests from service orders and perform repairs per policy and safety standards.
• Oversee and complete make-ready process for vacant homes, schedule vendors, obtain supplies, and inspect work.
• Develop standards for cleanliness/appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas.
• Periodically inspect work by staff and contractors for quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and assist budget for repairs and capital projects.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance and MSDS updates.
