Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience and training in department skill areas: mowing, grounds maintenance, fencing-playground maintenance, machining, welding, landscaping, equipment operation, asphalt.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Knowledge of standard practices, tools and terminology.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively without constant supervision.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety precautions, hazardous materials and proper ways necessary to perform assigned tasks.
• Must be in good physical condition and able to lift 100 pounds and pass a pre-employment physical.
• Ability to perform work independently and dependably according to prescribed standards and technical procedures.
• Ability to work in varied weather and temperature conditions and to work from heights.
