Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Operating Engineer to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment for assigned properties. You will perform rounds, preventive maintenance, and general repairs to create a safe, comfortable environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 5+ years of related work experience operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• Appropriate license/permit for trade as may be required (Journeyman/Master Electrician, City Licenses, etc.).
• May require Universal Technician for CFCs depending on licensure.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Basic computing skills: Outlook, Excel & Word.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, or HVAC requirements of the building(s).
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, DX units, pumps, cooling towers, VAV and air distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment and controls.
• Perform preventive maintenance per Cushman & Wakefield standards and schedules.
• Inspect engine room equipment, motors, pumps and electrical rooms.
• Respond to emergencies and customer concerns; document activities for supervisor.
