Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield seeks an Operating Engineer to maintain and repair building systems across client facilities. You will manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety tasks to ensure reliable operation and energy efficiency.

Qualified candidates have a minimum of four years in building engineering, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess EPA refrigerant certification. A valid driver’s license and trade licenses may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; apprenticeship/trade school preferred.
• Minimum of four years of technical experience in building engineering with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and related systems.
• Valid state driver's license and trade-specific license as required by location.
• EPA 608 Universal refrigerants certification for servicing refrigerant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work orders for HVAC, electrical, lighting, and related systems.
• Operate and repair HVAC systems, electrical distribution, plumbing, and building interiors/exteriors.
• Carry out major HVAC repairs (compressors, condensers, coils) and major plumbing work.
• Perform electrical work including conduit, wiring, panel maintenance, and predictive maintenance.
• Inspect facilities, report conditions impacting occupancy and operations.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety procedures, and PPE requirements.
