Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Operating Engineer to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems at assigned properties. The role includes rounds, preventive maintenance, and repairs to sustain a safe, comfortable environment across buildings.

Applicants should have 5+ years in operating MEP systems in commercial settings, with licenses and basic computing skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related work experience operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of energy management systems and building controls.
• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.

Responsibilities

• Perform all plumbing, electrical, or HVAC requirements of the building(s).
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, DX units, pumps, cooling towers, and air distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment and control systems for comfortable environment.
• Inspect engine room, back-up generator, fire pump, and other critical equipment.
• Respond to emergencies (fire, evacuation, equipment failure) and coordinate repairs.
• Complete required safety training and comply with company policies.
