Job summary
Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Operating Engineer to assist with operational troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial properties. The role covers pumps, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and building systems, with on-site response to emergencies and maintenance tasks.
Qualified candidates will have 2+ years in a commercial setting, basic computing skills, and a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting.
- HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or related training or on-the-job training.
- Valid driver's license; may require commercial license.
- Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.
- May require shift work, overtime, or on-call duties.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair buildings, systems, and equipment.
- Inspect safety, perform preventative maintenance, and upgrades.
- Operate and maintain fire and life safety systems as assigned.
- Respond to emergencies and customer service requests.
- Use building automation systems and mobile devices for monitoring.
- Assist with carpentry, painting, and general maintenance tasks.
