Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer in Dallas to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and life safety. You will help ensure facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with codes and client requirements.

Responsibilities include implementing preventive maintenance, energy management, and safe handling of materials while supporting a range of system inspections and facility improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 4–5 years of related experience.
• Universal CFC certification preferred; licenses may be required by local/state jurisdictions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong math, analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and control systems to keep facilities operational and compliant with standards.
• Follow codes, regulations, and safety directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Maintain energy management programs to optimize system efficiency.
• Support preventive maintenance programs and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Maintain safe storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials; keep a clean, safe workspace.
• Review building systems (HVAC, fire alarms, plumbing) to ensure operation meets design specifications.
