Job summary

CBRE seeks a Building Engineer in Denton, TX to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety components. This role supports preventive maintenance programs and energy management initiatives to sustain high-performance facilities for clients.

You will work within a team to resolve issues, comply with regulations, and ensure safety standards while upholding CBRE's RISE values and service excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of related experience.
• In lieu of diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Universal CFC certification is preferred; licenses may be required by local/state jurisdictions.
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency requirements, and company directives
• Maintain an energy management program and ensure systems operate efficiently.
• Assist with implementing preventive maintenance and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Review inspections of building systems to ensure operation within design specs.
• Apply in-depth knowledge to complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across disciplines.
• Lead by example and align with CBRE RISE values.
• Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities.
• Work within broad guidelines and policies.
• Explain difficult or sensitive information.
