Job summary

CBRE, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer in Dallas to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling. The role supports preventive maintenance and safety compliance across facility operations.

You will ensure systems operate efficiently, implement preventive maintenance, and respond to emergencies while following company policies. Strong knowledge of MS Office and comfort with technical problem-solving are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Meet the physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting 50 lbs+.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Organizational skills with an analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Ensure building systems comply with codes, regulations, and company directives.
• Maintain an energy management program and maximize system efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs and emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow safety policies for hazardous materials and maintain a clean workplace.
• Inspect building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) to ensure operation within design specs.
• Apply standard principles to complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with team members and model CBRE RISE values.
