Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Field Technician for the Field Services organization supporting the FAA. This role provides field support for FAA programs such as FTI, ADSB, DCNS, and related needs in the ZKC_ARTCC.

Responsibilities include installing, repairing, configuring, testing and performing preventative maintenance at customer locations; reading drawings; documenting work; and coordinating with NOCC, SAC and Helpdesk. Travel and on-call support within the territory may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License, and a satisfactory driving record, as conditions of initial (and continued) employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for FAA programs (FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, WMSS and others) supported by L3Harris.
• Install, repair, configure, test and perform preventative maintenance on equipment at customer locations.
• Able to travel to remote sites within your assigned area and participate in on-call capacity as needed.
• Read and understand equipment drawings and task orders.
