Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Field Technician in White Plains, NY, supporting FAA facilities in the ZNY airspace. You will install, repair, configure and test equipment, and perform preventative maintenance at customer sites.

Remote/on-call work and occasional travel may be required. Applicants should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) with extensive relevant experience or an associate degree with related experience, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent with 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary/associates degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record, as a condition of initial (and continued) employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for FAA programs (FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, WMSS and others)
• Install, repair, configure, test and perform preventative maintenance on equipment at customer locations
• Work remotely in a scheduled and on-call capacity across assigned area and travel to remote sites as needed
• Read and follow equipment drawings and task orders
• Document customer interactions and maintain accurate records
• Coordinate with NOCC, SAC, and Helpdesk to resolve field issues
• Maintain tools, test equipment, parts, and company vehicle, and prep tasks before dispatch
