Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Field Technician for the FAA in Ronkonkoma, NY, to provide on-site support at FAA facilities and field service across the ZNY airspace.

You will install, repair, configure, test, and perform preventative maintenance on diverse equipment, work on-call, and travel within a 3-hour drive as needed.

The role requires security clearances, a valid driver's license, and strong customer service in high-stress environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or 2 years post-secondary with 4 years related experience.
• Must obtain and maintain a DOT Public Trust Security Clearance and a DOD Secret Clearance.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for FAA programs (FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, WMSS, etc.).
• Install, repair, configure, test and perform preventative maintenance on equipment at customer sites.
• Work on-call and travel to remote locations as needed within assigned area.
• Read and follow equipment drawings and task orders.
