Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Field Technician D to support FAA programs within the Chicago airspace. You will perform field maintenance, configuration, and testing on a variety of equipment at customer sites, with on-call requirements and occasional travel.

Applicants should have a high school diploma with extensive relevant experience or an associate degree plus experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain FAA security clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 8 years of relevant experience; or 2 years post-secondary/associates with 4 years related experience.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain FAA security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for FAA programs (FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, WMSS).
• Install, repair, configure, test and perform PM on equipment at customer sites.
• Travel within assigned area; may travel to remote sites as needed for FAA projects.
• Read and follow equipment drawings and task orders; document activities.
• Coordinate with NOCC, SAC, and Helpdesk to resolve field issues.
