Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Field Technician D to support FAA facilities. You will provide on-site tech support at FAA sites, perform installations, tests, and preventive maintenance, and coordinate with NOCC, SAC, and Helpdesk.

Willingness to travel up to 3 hours from base and work on-call is required. Strong field service and networking skills, plus the ability to read drawings, document activities, and maintain equipment inventory are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 8+ years field experience or 2 years post-secondary/associates with 4+ years.
• Must obtain and maintain DOT Public Trust and DOD Secret clearances.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean record in the US.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for FAA programs (FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, WMSS).
• Install, repair, configure, test and perform preventive maintenance at customer locations.
• Work remotely/on-call across assigned FAA sites; travel within 3-hour drive circles as needed.
• Read and follow equipment drawings and task orders accurately.
• Document activities and coordinate with NOCC, SAC and Helpdesk.
• Maintain tools, test gear, parts, and company vehicle; prepare tasks prior to dispatch.
