Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Field Technician for the FAA Field Services organization to support FAA facilities in the ZBW airspace from Syracuse, NY. The role involves field support, installation, repair, configuration, testing, and preventative maintenance of various equipment at customer locations.

The technician must be able to work remotely in an on-call capacity, read drawings, document activity, and coordinate with NOCC, the SAC, and Helpdesk.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant field experience.
• Preferred additional certifications Network+/CCNA/CCNP/A+.
• Ability to read/understand equipment drawings and task orders.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for FAA programs.
• Install, repair, configure, test, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment at customer locations.
• Work remotely on-call across assigned area and travel to remote sites as needed.
• Read and follow equipment drawings and task orders.
• Maintain tools, test equipment, parts, and vehicle.
• Coordinate with NOCC, SAC, and Helpdesk to resolve field issues.
