Our client, a renowned hotel in Welkom, Free State, seeks an experienced Food & Beverage Director to lead its diverse culinary and beverage operations and elevate the dining experience. This leadership role requires a strong business sense, cost management, and a passion for gastronomy.

The ideal candidate will manage multiple outlets, develop innovative menus, and drive revenue while maintaining the highest service standards across all venues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in food and beverage management, preferably within a hotel environment.
• Formal qualification in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field is highly desirable.
• Proven track record in managing diverse F&B outlets and large-scale banqueting operations.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management, P&L analysis, and cost control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Creativity and passion for food, wine, and creating unique dining experiences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the hotel's food and beverage operations, including restaurants, bars, banqueting, and room service.
• Develop and implement innovative menu concepts and beverage programs.
• Manage and motivate the F&B team, ensuring high standards of performance and customer service.
• Control food and beverage costs, optimize purchasing, and manage inventory effectively.
• Develop and manage the annual F&B budget, aiming to maximize profitability.
• Ensure compliance with all health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
• Create and execute marketing strategies to promote F&B offerings and drive sales.
• Enhance the guest experience through exceptional service, quality food, and a welcoming atmosphere.
• Conduct regular staff training sessions to maintain service excellence and product knowledge.
