Job summary

VSP Vision in Elk Grove, CA is seeking an eye care associate to help customers find eyeglasses and contact lenses that best match their needs.

You will assist with frame and lens selection, take measurements, dispense eyewear, and coordinate with insurance and practice records, delivering friendly, accurate service. The role requires 1–2 years of related experience and state licensure where applicable.

Qualifications

• One to two years of experience in eyewear or related field.
• State licensure as an optician, if required by state.
• Proficient in communicating with customers and documenting in records.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and practice software.

Responsibilities

• Determine the reason for the patient's visit, identify lifestyle needs, and deliver recommendations.
• Attract and retain customers by delivering exceptional service and fostering satisfaction.
• Assist customers in frame selection and coordinate with measurements and prescription.
• Recommend lenses, coatings, and frames to suit needs and features.
• Take measurements, assist with adjustments, and dispense eyewear.
• Ensure correct pricing and delivery time quotes to patients.
• Provide enthusiastic communication to meet patient expectations and support team.
• Clean and merchandise display daily.
• Assist with insurance billing and processing orders.
• Document patient communication in records and use practice software.
